Our Commitment to Responsible Applied AI
At 11Base, we believe artificial intelligence is one of the most powerful leverage tools ever created for British business. But power without governance produces risk, fragility, and loss of public trust.
As a dedicated British Applied AI division, we operate under a simple principle: Technology must always remain accountable, transparent, and subordinate to human values.
1. Client Data Confidentiality & Privacy
We mandate that no client proprietary data, internal communications, source code, or customer information is ever used to train or fine-tune public foundation models. All inference compute is deployed in private, tenant-isolated perimeters in UK/EU cloud zones or on-premises.
2. Transparency, Explainability & Auditability
Black-box AI is unacceptable in enterprise operations. Every applied AI pipeline we engineer is accompanied by structured logging, deterministic prompt templates, confidence thresholds, and clear audit trails so decisions can be reviewed by human stakeholders.
3. Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) Governance
We engineer AI as an amplifier of human agency, not an unchecked replacement. High-consequence decisions (such as contractual sign-offs, financial disbursements, and personnel actions) always require deterministic human approval checkpoints.
4. Alignment with UK AI Regulatory Principles
Our engineering methodologies actively adhere to the UK Government’s white paper on AI Regulation: Safety, security and robustness; Appropriate transparency; Fairness; Accountability and governance; and Contestability.
5. Computational & Environmental Efficiency
We strongly reject brute-force, wasteful model usage. Focused strictly on purposeful outcomes rather than vanity compute, we deploy distilled, quantized, or specialized smaller models whenever they achieve the required accuracy with 90% less energy and cost.
